so bad at updating this....got a new bike, a 2007 harley nightster, bascially a blacked out sportster..been focused on that and looking forward to starting a new gig..more on that later...been doing alot of research about what to do with the bike...gotta pull the trigger on the lepera seat, haha i keep debating back and forth but i am finally going with the cobra seat...f yeah...

so i got a tattoo today...its a pitchfork and says daredevil. compliments of Amanda at daredevil tattoo..its official i am with daredevil for LIFE!!! my appointment to color in my current piece by Michelle was canceled last minute so i figured, already here...Plus they have some recession special flash..a majority of the price is actually donated to several charities...Rock on Michelle and the rest of the crew at Daredevil Tattoo in the LES..

laughing is seriously the best thing ever...and ironically todays post is about humor because for one, i need it today and two who doesnt like to laugh...

some modern ADHD humor like family guy/will ferrell ..i honestly find myself laughing at the one scene of the movie or show that NOT one other person is laughing at... example...this clip...pure genius

My mother took me to my friend Landon's birthday party when i was a little dude, and they had a clown perform. I was the only kid laughing the entire time. I remember being hysterical!! Simply going nuts at any little thing he did. The clown actually asked my mother if he could hire me to come to his gigs and just laugh!!

Stand up comedy has always been one of my favorites..gotta give much props to them. Geno Bisconte, a close friend, is a very talented comedy and knowing him has made me respect them that much more. One of my favorite stand up acts is Eddie Murphy..i really wish he would say f-disney pg movies and return to what he did best...

Growing up sunday nights use to be the best...the simpson and In Living Color. Every Monday i would goto school and i was seriously they only one who saw In Living Color because everyones parents would not let them watch it..I truly believe and give much credit to this show for developing my sense of humor to what it is now..

had to put up two skits...men on football because damon wayons and david allen grier ..amazing!!

my dad gave me "Are you experienced?" on cassette. I seriously played it out. If i was not rocking out to it with my headphones, i was playing along on the drums..mitch mitchell who just pasted away in 08, was an amazing drummer...Seriously how can you not like hendrix..so talented

When i got into art school, there was a blank cd with "good shit" written on with with a black sharpie. I had to see what was on it. Sure enough it was "A Ghost was born album" by wilco. I fell inlove with them the first time i heard the whole album..

Alright lets exclude the obvious choices for amazing music e.ge Rolling Stones, Dylan, The Dead , The who and so on...because i could be here all day and night..and already this post has run alittle long. I didnt mean to go on such a long country tangent but thats what ive been listening to alot of lately. Lets focus on where i started with hendrix, music that made and impact. Artists that once i heard them and cosmic explosion happened in my head!!!

when i got license to ill tape...all man my folks thought i was a lost cause...seriously they understood the rock and roll and the punk but when they heard hold it now it (tried to find the video for but embedded locked!) it was on...they seriously were disappointed in me..haha

Tribe called quest
i owe it to the beastie boys to get me into tribe called quest..such an original group. i went to one of their shows in philly in the late 90s. they would shine a light on someone in the audience. that person whould have to yell out what song they wanted to hear them perform....NAME a music group that doe that...and trust me the audience was pulling some oldies out to trick them up..and on command they did each song..amazing

WU TANG CLAN
for the longest time one of my goals in life was to be an official member....these dudes made a huge impact almost as big as the first time i heard hendrix. my ears were sliced and dice by the beats and the lyrics just made brian explode..
this video was probally made before they even really got money from the labels for videos and such but its the music that makes this group..

Black Sabbath
again another musical influence of my fathers..he was nick named the "iron man" because on the job site ( he was an iron worker) he was always the tallest and prefered to go about things the hard way..children of the grave is probally one of my fav songs by them though..

as i was discussing earlier when i was playing the drums all the time these guys were a huge influence...

he got alot of slack because he "set up" or "manipulated" his images of native americans but honestly who doesn't do that now a days...he was devoted to his craft and retaining as much information/images of every tribe in north america kudos to Curtis..
you can actually get prints made from his negatives via the library of congress...

every photographer goes through the "davidson" phase of hardcore black and white photo-docu.. i heard a story that he borrowed a view camera from pratt two summers ago. ( i think he is in 70s if not 80s now) and while in paris some kids pushed him over and stole the camera...they probally didn't even know how to use the camera let alone who was underneath the cloth..ignorate kids..

again do i really need to say anything....dude drives around the country with a white back drop a 8x10 view camera and goes to town on portriats. amazing photographer, he was know for being abrasive behind the lens but this would result in stunning images of our most famous celebrities

Alright you are probally like...dude what about the new talent...true...i think with alot of the newer photographers there is alittle bit more theory behind the image. as opposed to the images speaking for themselves. The artists described above have more of a documentaion, "this is real life , whether its ugly or beautiful or both" approach. Not that there wasn't artists such as Man-Ray who created "life" in their photographs. Alot of the modern cats seem to conceive the idea then create as opposed to creating and seeing the idea that was organically created from the idea....whooo hopefully that makes sense..haha..ok now to some art work...

she is hott right now..really hott...and i know how she does her lighting...haha no seriously though she is awesome and is in very high demand right now...lots of copy cats but none as good as the o.g.

i like. He is good, i cant knock him, but its kinda of not my thing. he probally has twice as many copy cats as Greenberg but again you can never get as good as the original..btw i believe he is a yale grad (top photo masters program in world!!)

So thats a little photo stuff for all you boys and girls to check out if you haven't already heard of them. These artists are definetely the tip of the iceberg in the photography realm let alone the art world.
